How to update your "flash images " on the Page Layout 1-3 pages

Navigation/Images/Text (these items are Flash buttons which are updatable by editing a text file):
To edit these buttons you will need to edit the corresponding config file for this flash-thumbnail.  To find what the config file is, select the flash component, then switch to code/html view.  The config file should be displayed in the config folder as "configFile=config/config_file_name.txt".  You will find this file in the "flash/config" folder of your website

Instructions:

  1. Open up the config file
  2. Modify each of the values
  3. Save the config file

Summary of name/value settings:

  • imageURL - location of the image you want displayed (175px by 130px) (RELATIVE TO THE "flash/" FOLDER)
  • menuText - what you want displayed on the button
  • menuDescription - what you want displayed when the mouse rolls over the button
  • buttonTarget - the target window you wish this thumbnail to open into -- default is set to _blank which is "new window".  If you want the target to be the current window change the value to _self
  • buttonURL - where you want the button to link to (RELATIVE TO THE "flash/" FOLDER)

Note: there MUST be an ampersand (&) and the beginning AND end of each name/value pair as is in the original config files.  This is so that each configuration could be displayed on its own line.

Example:
&imageURL=images/image1.jpg&

NOTE: If you are changing the images the image doesn't load, it could be because your export settings are set to "progressive" JPG format.  Make sure this is NOT the case, then re-export your image.

Changing the Flash Header Images

Changing the Small images in the flash header (please see www.luckymarblehelp.com/tutorials for a video tutorial on this topic)
1) make a new image 100x80  (width x height)
2) save it as "template_dwt/images/home-image_x.jpg"

3) replace the 'x' with a number 1-4, as in the examples below.

NOTE: If you are doing this and the image doesn't load, it could be because your export settings are set to "progressive" JPG format.  Make sure this is NOT the case, then re-export your image.
